Discovering, preserving and enriching the world of Breda: that is the mission of Stedelijk Museum Breda. By ‘the world of Breda’, we mean that Breda is more than just a city with a mayor, residents and municipal boundaries. Breda is closely linked to the Baronie, North Brabant and Flanders. Breda is a collection of stories, big and small, with a tradition of art and culture and a vibrant network of artists and other creative professionals. Breda is a world of similarities and differences, of Nassau and DJ Tiësto, of the KMA and St. Joost School of Art & Design, of the Brakkensliert and BredaPhoto Festival.
