Blood, party and swans

In the near future you will see them everywhere: the expressions we use to draw attention to the new permanent exhibition The Nassaus of Breda - Castle, Town and Country. The expressions are a combination of meaningful words and prominent works of art and objects from the exhibition.

A sneak peek: swans are on the menu during festive dinners at the Castle. At the time, a sure sign that the host had it right. How do we know all this? The centuries-old chute at the Castle has been extensively examined by archaeologists, yielding a great deal of information. In addition to broken crockery and all sorts of other debris, a complete skeleton of a swan was recovered. It has been given a prominent place on the laid table in the first room. Will you look for princes, bullets, dolphins and the miracle host?
