Ons Nest

There are many different kinds of journeys. You can go on holiday, embark on an inner journey, or travel in your dreams. ‘Ons Nest’ is an annual art project involving pupils from special needs secondary schools at Breda College, De Kei (Koraal) and Visio Onderwijs Breda. This year, they created artworks on the theme of from here to there. Will you join us on the journey?

The artworks explore how the pupils interpret a journey. Everyone has put their own spin on the theme. From a phoenix rising from its ashes to dragons and dreamcatchers. The artworks are made from materials including papier-mâché, textiles, wire and even feathers and shells. Each piece tells a story. Sometimes you see it straight away, sometimes you have to look more closely. Let yourself be surprised by what you see and experience.
