The Municipal Executive of Breda has appointed Matthijs de Bruin (director of Young Impact) as a new member of the supervisory board of Stedelijk Museum Breda. He is a socially engaged director with over sixteen years of experience in the non-profit sector. He specializes in fundraising, partnerships, subsidies, innovation, and organizational development and has a strong network within the education, culture, and social sectors.
As a native of Breda, Matthijs de Bruin feels a strong connection to the city. “My passion for art and culture and my love for Breda come together in this role. I would like to contribute to increasing the social relevance of the museum and reaching a wider audience,” says De Bruin.
With his arrival at the museum, the supervisory board, consisting of Henk Valk (chairman), Saskia Boelema (vice-chairman), Sandra Broeren, and Hans November, is once again complete.
